I know some of you might be wondering about what kind of AD&D freak I might be in order to get a job as a TSR Online host. Well, my name of course is Patrick Teague and I was born in January, 1975 (in Kansas City, Mo), and I live in Kansas City, Missouri along with another TSRO, TSRO Spidy (although he lives north of the river & a good 30 minutes away). I have wanted to play RPGs since that old D&D cartoon even though I didn't know what an RPG was. My sophmore year ('90-'91) in High School I finally bought my first RPG book. It was the Middle-Earth Role-Playing game (MERP) & only the book & not the boxed set as I didn't have the money. Later I went on to buy the Battletech & AD&D games - giving me both sci-fi & fantasy along with a strategy & role-playing mix. My senior year in High School a lowly sophmore saw me drawing picture of the Millenium Falcon & asked if I like Star Wars, I said yes & he showed me the Star Wars role-playing game & I was hooked!

I've been in & out of college for the past couple years as most of my teachers have been boring & I can't stand more than a semester at a time. My first semester I was introduced to Warhammer & Warhammer 40k & it sorta piked my interest into wargames again as seeing that horde of orcs & skeletons being fought off by dwarves was pretty kewl. I lost contact with that group, especially after the hobby shop closed.

My AD&D Collection has grown due to the various groups I've played with & my Star Wars Collection has grown due to my interest & the great way they put it together, although I've a few gripes about the Star Wars 2nd Ed Handbook. As for my online status, I've been on & off several times, but after looking at the option of setting up my own BBS I decided it would be better to stick with the internet.

I got back onto the internet again in the fall of '96 via America Online (AOL) to play Neverwinter Nights (NWN, the one TSR is trying to get up & running again). Shortly thereafter I got sucked into a guild known as the Lords of Krynn. Offline I was playing various RPGs & Wargames whenever I got the chance.

As to when I became a TSRO? In August of '97 I finally was accepted as a TSR Online host (TSRO) for AOL's TSR forum. I was able to make it to several of AOL's Host Classes before TSR's contract with AOL was up (September 1st) & now I'm in control of TSR Live late, late Friday (1am to 3am EST) night and am currently running Frankencounters :-)

One thing alot of people seem to want to know is what AD&D stuff I have... Check out Hawk's AD&D Boxed Sets & Sourcebooks

As for fantasy novels sitting on my shelf, check out Hawk's Fantasy Bookshelf & also check out Hawk's Bookshelf of Miscelleneous Books for other books sitting on my shelves.

Check Hawk's Great Sources of Information

One of the biggest reasons that I've really gotten back into the Fantasy part of RPGs & away from the Sci-Fi is that, due to my Aunt Effie, I've learned I'm related to Pepin, King of Italy & son of Charlemagne. I'm also related to William the Conqueror as well as the King Edwards I, II, & III (Richard the Lionhearted is between the 2, but only as a cousin). This seems really kewl & I've used alot of the info I've gained to influence my own campaigns.

Great Music I've used for RPGs (on CD of course) - Conan the Barbarian, Hercules: The Legendary Journies, Robin Hood (starring Patrick Bergin & Uma Thurman), Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, The Princess Bride, Braveheart, The 3 Musketeers (starring Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, etc), First Knight, Fresh Aire VI (by Mannheim Steamroller), The Man from Snowy River, Chant: The Benedictine Moks of Santo Domingo De Silos, Warcraft 2 & expansion set, Civilization 2, MechWarrior 2... I do plan on getting some Celtic, Scottish, & Germanic music (I just love bagpipes... they sometimes create an Eire feeling ;)

Currently I'm getting a kick out of making web pages & I've found writing HTML script easy after my 7 years of programming (if you're interested in the books I'm using, click here. Another thing I enjoy doing is building and upgrading computers, although fixing computers (the software mind you) is also sort of fun & definately required if running Windows 95. For those of you who are interested in the brand name & model of my computer, well... I guess I could make it up, but no one would know what I was talking about. I built my computer from pieces. Here's a list of what I've got: Full Size Tower Case (250 Watts), Socket 7 motherboard w/ an AMD k5 pentium 100mhz cpu, two 16MB EDO SiMMs & two 8MB Standard SiMMs for a total of 48MB RAM, Graphics Blaster MA302, Sound Blaster 32 PnP, Linksys EtherPCI LAN Card II, USRobotics Sportster 14.4 internal, USRobotics Sportster 33.6 external Faxmodem, Maxtor 1.6gig hard drive, 540meg Western Digital hard drive, 80meg Connor hard drive, TEAC 1.44 floppy drive, Hi-Val 6X CD-ROM, Eagle TR3 Travan 1.6 (3.2 Compressed) Tape Backup, Reveal Ergonomic Keyboard II (with win95 keys), Microsoft Home mouse (okay... I plan on getting a Logitech Trackman Marble when I get the money), a set of sad Labtec speakers, and a Canon BJC-4100 color bubblejet I'm gonna hafta clean again...

Yes, I actually do other things outside of RPGs & playing with computers (other's would find my kind of playing hard work... just try programming ;) I also enjoy Fishing, mostly fresh-water & my favorite is Trout, I can also tie several killer fishing flies (as well as some exotic non-useful ones that I've sold at craft shows). I love to travel, camp, backpack, & generally just sit around & watch nature (I spent 3 hours just watching ants scurry around). I used to show up fairly regularly at my youth group's Coffee House, but haven't had much time lately. I'm also working on a novel based on my campaign world of Veslach (or is the world based off all my short stories?). I also enjoy wargaming whenever I get the chance, but I'm usually limited to playing against the stupid computer (they really are dumb, if it weren't for windows 95 telling it what to do it couldn't do anything... now, what tells windows 95 what to do?) ;) I also used to play a mean game of monopoly, chess, 5 card draw (poker), and UNO, but I beat everyone in my family so many times they quit playing against me... it's been about 5 years since I touched 'em :(
